Arianna Trapp

Board President

Arianna (she/her) has a Bachelor’s degree in Marine Science, a Master's in Marine Conservation, and just under 1 year experience in grants management. As a Research Associate with the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine, Arianna develops and manages grant programs for environmental research in the Gulf of Mexico.

Madeline Van Schelven

Board Treasurer

Madeline (she/her) has a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and History from the University of Michigan. She is currently pursuing a J.D. at Loyola University Chicago and is based in Chicago, IL. 

Kayla Chang

Board Secretary

Kayla Chang (she/her) holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Environmental Studies from Loyola Marymount University. Based in Los Angeles, CA, she is pursuing a career in urban planning and design with a focus on creating climate-resilient, environmentally just, and inclusive cities.

Nico Gentile

Board Member

Nico (he/him) has a BA in Environmental Studies from Loyola Marymount University and is currently a PhD Student at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine. With over 5 years of experience in environmental advocacy and water security, he is responsible for leading the SACWI Project (Santa Ana Clean Water Initiative) and running various educational initiatives and internships within WICC. Nico is deeply involved in water advocacy, coordinating educational programs, and spearheading projects focused on clean water solutions, especially regarding PFAS contamination and community engagement.

Bianca C.

Board Member

Bianca (they/them) has a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies - Justice and Community Resilience Emphasis. They are based in Washington State and are pursuing a career in disaster risk reduction. Their current work outside of WICC focuses on global disaster risk reduction and resilience in the education sector.
